About Pre-rain Anji White Tea (An Ji Bai Cha) 2025
Anji White Tea comes from Anji, Zhejiang. Though named “white tea,” it is actually a green tea, known for its unique spring “albino” buds that appear pale in cold weather and gradually turn green as temperatures rise.
Compared with our earlier Mingqian version, this Pre-Rain tea is aimed at daily drinking. The leaves are picked from organic tea-growing gardens in Anji’s core region; slightly more mature than Mingqian buds, giving the tea fuller body, better endurance, and the clean sweetness typical of Anji White Tea.

对水温要求很高,75-80度为佳,超过85度的水很容易破坏微妙的颜色和香气,使其变得非常老态。香气清新,富有青草风味,入口淡雅,整体感觉如小桥流水。

When I heard this was actually a green tea, I just had to try it! If you’re a white tea lover, I think you’ll definitely like this. It has a similar lightness and sweetness on the palate but has the added herbaceousness of the green tea varieties.
